Cheer Up!

It is nice to know that PLHIV's are communicating in my blog. This is really the purpose of it: to reach out to as many PLHIV's and to form bonds and communication channels between PLHIV's so dealing with HIV and AIDS becomes easy.

I was copied in one of the emails between two PLHIV's and I decided to post it here:

Hi newpoz!

It's Miko! Cheer up! Just because you have a low CD4 count doesn't mean that you have to feel blue and down. Remember that you are not the only one experiencing such problem. Instead of feeling depressed, think of the positive side of life.

1. There is medicine.
2. There is a treatment hub that will take good care of you.
3. You still have a family (whether they know your case or not).
4. You are not alone in this battle.
5. God will never leave you alone.

There are times in my life that I feel so bad, I am loosing hope and all. I know that you also experience such moments. If you feel like crying then CRY YOUR HEART OUT! I am telling you, its normal. But make sure after your hurdle, stand up and face your your day with so much hope, faith, love and compassion. If there's no one you could talk to, drop by in a nearby church and pray. Talk to Him, tell Him everything that you feel. Everything happens for a reason, and be thankful that the virus is detected and you will be cured.

Your only opponent is yourself. If you over think things it might weaken your system. Try to divert your attention and focus more with your plans and your loved ones. Yes, you and your plans in life have changed because of what happened but remember to change for the better.

Feel free to email me anytime you want.

:)
MIKO
