World AIDS Day: What It Means To Me

"Today is WORLD AIDS DAY. An estimated 34.2 Million today are Living with HIV & AIDS Globally. The Philippines is still one of the 7 countries who has increasing HIV Infection. As of 1984-Sept2012 there has been 10,830 cases of People Living with HIV & AIDS Recorded. All 17Regions of the Philippines are affected by this global epidemic.

We keep on complaining that it is still gr0wing but the question is have we really done our own part in stopping the epidemic?

Education is still our most powerful weapon against HIV. If we only do our part in educating and correcting the misconceptions surrounding it we could eventually erradicate STIGMA & DISCRIMINATI0N which is the main reason that a lot of people who knows they are at risk are afraid to get tested and also newly diagnosed PLHIV refuse to seek treatment.

Let us do our part in contibuting to a world with ZERO NEW HIV INFECTI0NS, ZERO AIDS-RELATED DEATHS & ZERO STIGMA & DISCRIMINATION."
