Good day Pozzie Pinoy,
I have observed greening discharges from my penis. Sometimes, it is white in color. I also observed some changes in my scrotum. I also searched the internet with regards to this, and it seems that i have gonorrhea. Does RITM also offer test services for STDs? I do not want my parents to know about my condition.
Does the discharges indicate that I have HIV? I hope you could reply ASAP so I don't have to worry too much about this.
Thank you.

CONTRIBUTOR'S RESPONSE
HI XXX.
Penile discharges is a common sign of a sexually transmitted disease. It is important to have a prompt and accurate diagnosis by an infectious specialist at STD Clinics. One of the STDs that can cause penile discharges is Gonorrhea.
Gonorrhea is transmitted through anal, vaginal, or oral sex with an infected person. Common symptoms of gonorrhea include burning sensation when urinating, discharge from the penis (white, yellow, or green) that usually appears 1 to 14 days after infection, and painful or swollen testicles.
Having gonorrhea does not necessarily indicate that you have HIV. However, having gonorrhea (tissue inflammation) makes it easy for a person to become infected. Furthermore, a person with gonorrhea and HIV at the same time can easily transmit the disease to another person because there is more HIV in the semen and vaginal fluids.
It is very important to have yourself checked by a specialist in order to get an accurate diagnosis. If ever you have gonorrhea, prompt treatment (antibiotics) would be given to you right away. RITM offers such services, and it is advisable for you to take an HIV test as well.
Thanks.
