Email 696: Where to Get Vaccinations

Hi Pozzie,

Can you please find out and share to us which vaccinations are available to PLHIV in the Philippines? Both given for free or for a fee and where we can avail these.

Thanks and more power!

Bob

POZZIEPINOY’S RESPONSE

Hi Bob.

Thank you for your email.

Vaccinations are very important to everyone, especially to PLHIV's, to prevent infections. My advice is first, ask your HIV doctor on which vaccinations that you need. Please don't just ask anyone around. Only your HIV doctor knows which vaccinations you need the most. Also, there are some vaccinations that are given on a double dose only for PLHIV's.

Usually, the government hubs offer free vaccinations, however because they are free their supply don't last long. Best if you get it from other hospitals. Like what I said, get a prescription first from your HIV doctor before getting them.

If you want someone who can administer vaccine shots for you in any place or even in the privacy of your home, you can contact Ellen Domingo at 0916-826-1831. The price that she will give for the vaccines are reasonable. Just tell her that pozziepinoy referred you.

I hope I was able to answer your concerns. Feel free to email me again if you have other questions.

Stay healthy,
Pozziepinoy
