Worried About Infecting Mom

Hi Pozzie,

I'm worried that my mother might get HIV from touching my infected blood. Few months ago, I had a little wound on my left arm due to severe scratching. My mom saw my blood dripping, she intended to wipe it with her finger and I moved away but I knew she managed to touched my blood, she was so careless. I told her never to do that again coz it's very risky. She doesn't have cuts or open wounds on her finger but still it made me worry so much. Several months after that incident, I become very anxious and paranoid everytime my mom gets sick...Fever, muscle pains, headaches and had mouth sores once. I told her that I worry bout it though I knew that she really has weak immune system ever since and she said that she's always like that whenever she overworks and gets so much stress and over-fatigue.

I even check her skin from time to time for rashes whenever I see her scratching.
Can she possibly gets HIV from touching my blood? Please help. Thanks.

My PLHIV Story: "Huwag Matakot Harapin ang Problema"

TRR Foundation in Baguio City

The Project Red Ribbon Care Management Foundation Inc (TRR) has linked up with the Baguio Support Group to replicate all the programs of TRR in the City of Pines. With the partnership of TRR with the Metropolitan Christian Church (MCC) of Baguio, through the commitment of Tita Bootz and Pastor Myke, we will be able to strengthen the promotion of HIV awareness, do our Care Management programs for HIV facilities and HIV and AIDS Treatment Hubs and do all support and care programs. By doing this, with missions aligned, we will be able to improve the quality of lives of people living with HIV (PLHIV) through awareness, resources, care and support.

This partrnership will benefit the key population in and around Baguio City and will also help the PLHIV in the other provinces nearby for their continuance of treatment care and support.

If you are from Baguio or in nearby provinces, please call our TRR Hotline Numbers to know more about the activities of TRR in Baguio City. We will also be entertaining volunteers to help us out with all the TRR programs in the City.

Brother Needs Help!

Hi!

My brother is suspected to have HIV he's in the ICU right now being treated for pneumonia. I have been suspecting it since late last year. He's always been very secretive with his life in fact we have no idea what kind of life he's really living although he told us that he was gay. He would always make stories that we would later find out to be lies even about his health. Anyways I started suspecting when he started to always refuse to be accompanied by my mom for check up when he's sick and lately he's always very sick.
