Our Programs

A. CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (HIV TEST)

This program entails assistance to an HIV testing facility by the foundations volunteers. Our volunteers will meet their clients outside the facility, briefly discuss what the process of the HIv test, enter the facility with the client, wait for the client and for the result, do a post counselling.

The rationale of this program is to preprocess and prepare the client to the HIV test and for our volunteers to not be scared of the HIV test.

B. CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (HIV AND AIDS TREATMENT HUB)

This program involves assistance to HIV and AIDS Treatment hubs in the Philippines. Our volunteers:
       a. Schedule the client to the hub
       b. Assist with the procedure in the hub
       c. Do peer counseling
       
C. HIV AND AIDS PHONE COUNSELING

With the TRR Hotline Numbers, our volunteers
        a. answer concerns and inquiries about HIV and AIDS
        b. do counselling
        c. refers clients to nearest HIV Testing facility or HIV and AIDS Treatment Hub

D. PEER COUNSELING

The foundation volunteers conduct one-on-one counseling either on the phone or in person.

E. SUPPORT GROUP TALK

The support group talk (SGT) is a program that involves:
       a. giving HIV lectures by guest speakers 
       b. Q&A about HIV, Care, Treatment and Support, 
       c. Discussion on issue related to HIV  

F. OUTREACH PROGRAM   

The foundation's outreach program is conducted once-a-month and is geared towards providing support to our fellow PLHIV's in the HIV and AIDS Treatment Hubs. 

The activities during the program are: 

        a. Handing out of donations of medicines and special gifts to PLHIV's
        b. Inspirational talks by invited guests to a group of PLHIV's
        c. Bonding over snacks or meal
        d. Visiting the sick who are confined in the hospital

G. TRR LOVE FUND

The Love Fund is a project geared towards helping the indigent and less fortunate people living with HIV/AIDS. The primary mission of TLF is to provide medical support for treatment of opportunistic infections (OI), laboratory tests and hospitalization costs of ill patients. The project accepts cash and/or in-kind donations.

H. P CLUB GATHERING

P Club is a weekly gathering of TRR members as a form of socialization.

I. REFERRAL PROGRAM

As part of treatment, the foundation's referral program involves our volunteers referring clients to specialized doctors who are HIV friendly. The foundation has it's own list of specialty doctors of low cost for the indigent PLHIV.

J. ONLINE SUPPORT GROUP

The foundation has a private Online Support Group in facebook. This group of advocates, supporters, counselors, health Workers and PLHIV's enable:

          a. To provide a channel for communication among members, 
          b. To educate and assist in the spread of awareness, 
          c. To share wisdom and experiences
          d. To spread news, information and breakthroughs
          e. To link with treatment facilities and services
          f.  To promote volunteerism within the group
          g. to support the foundations HIV and AIDS programs
         
K. FAMILY COUNSELING

Aside from client counselling, the foundation volunteers also do family counselling and home visitation for awareness and continuance of care.

L. PROJECT RED RIBBON BLOG

The foundations blog contains:
          a. all the activities and programs of the foundation
          b. emails by readers
          c. life stories and journeys of PLHIV
          d. personal experiences during the HIV test
          e. news about HIV and AIDS in the Philippines
          f. TRR Love Fund monthly report for transparency

M. HEALTH AND FITNESS

The foundation believes in holistic approach to treatment and care, thus inclusion of these programs:

          a. Yoga
          b. Dance
          c. Swimming
          d. Jogging and running
          e. Boot camp workouts 

N. NATIONAL HIV AND AIDS EVENTS

As part of awareness and education program, the foundation organizes its own national events to coincide with the international AIDS events:

          a. World AIDS Day
          b. International AIDS Candlelight Memorial

O. HIV 101 SEMINARS

The foundation volunteers conduct HIV awareness and education to schools, communities and companies. Empowered PLHIV members speak in front of the crowd to share their HIV journey.

P. SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

As part of the holistic approach to care, the foundation develops and hones skills for community reintegration. The trainings prepare the members for possible job placement or change of interests or hobbies.
