The Love Fund Report: August 2012

I texted Maram and Ate Beth and asked them for the list of the beneficiaries of The Love Fund (TLF) for this month. Maram just emailed me the list. In behalf of the staff of RITM-ARG and The Love Fund, thank you very much for all the donations. Please keep them coming as there are a lot more indigent people who are in need of medical assistance.

The beneficiaries of The Love Fund for the month of August 2012:

1. HIV patient was given azithromycin and meds for his allergic reaction to cotrimoxazole.
2. HIV with Herpes Zoster: was given assistance with his medicines
3. HIV with Upper respiratory Tract Infection (URTI); was given assistance with his medicines
4. HIV with Oral Candidiasis (oral thrush): was given medicines
5. HIV with pulmonary tuberculosis; was given medicines
6. HIV, new patient who requested for his orange card for registration
7. 2 year old, HIV who was given prophylaxis.

Once again, THANK YOU to all the donors of The LOVE FUND. With the increasing number of cases, almost 10 new cases a day, our government treatment hubs can't provide all the medicines for new and most of their indigent patients. To ensure that The Love Fund is being utilized appropriately, the RITM-ARG staff carefully screens patients and the assistance to PLHIV's is given based on the family's income and the immediate need of each patient. Rest assured that receipts of purchases of medicines and lab tests are available upon request for transparency.

There are Angels around and are helping our fellow PLHIV anonymously. Thank you so much!
