Project Red Ribbon in cooperation with the Department of Health - National AIDS/STI Prevention and Control Program, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine - AIDS Research Group and Save the Children present the 1st Philippine HIV and AIDS event this year, the Human Red Ribbon: Breaking Barriers and Breaking Records.
This national event will be held at the Quirico Grandstand on March 17, 2017 from 1pm to 8pm. This is primarily an HIV and AIDS awareness campaign to break stigma and discrimination, to promote the use of condoms and lubricants and to popularize the HIV Screening and testing all over the Philippines. The Project Red Ribbon's goal is to increase the number of people getting screened and tested from March to May 2017 or prior to the next event, the Philippine International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2017.
Human Red Ribbon is not only an awareness campaign, but also a move to break the Guinness Book of World Record for Human Awareness Ribbon. The current record is 8,300 and the Philippines would like to break it in March.
Schools, universities, government agencies, non-government organization's, companies, faith-based organizations are invited to join.
