Email 732: Worried About Confidentiality

Hi,

Just wanted to ask, what happens when you test out positive for HIV in one of those diagnostic clinics/centers like Hi Precision. Do they inform your workplace/family/DOH?

Thank you for your email.

All HIV testing procedures are confidential since the HIV test here in the Philippines is a confidential testing. The facility CAN'T inform your workplace and family as it is against the law. Your status will just be recorded in the HIV & AIDS Registry but like what I said, everything is confidential.

If those are your only concerns, please don't thick anymore and just take the HIV test. If you are still scared, you can call any of our Peer Counselors and Life Coach:
