Email 71: Waiting for the Confirmatory Result

Hi Pozzie,

Need some advice. My fiance was found to be positive to HIV test over 2 weeks ago. Her doctor told her just to wait now until the DOH contact her?????

HIV and Toxoplasmosis

These past weeks I have been assisting PLHIV's with toxoplasmosis. I remembered having tested a year ago on it and the result showed that I am not immune to it, meaning I am not exposed to it. When I was still a patient of PGH-SAGIP, the doctor resident said that almost all Filipinos are exposed to it because she said that we are used to playing in dirt or soil or we eat raw food or we love playing with cats. Well even though I don't have it, I am pretty careful so I won't acquire it even with my rebounded immune system.

Hi Pozzie Pinoy,

Good day! How are you? I'm XXX and I came across your blog a couple of days before getting myself diagnosed on the last week of September to date. Actually, this blog served as the only guide I had to get HIV test at RITM, Malate. I say that this blog is very helpful and I would like to thank you for that.

Email 68: To Take Lamivudine with Tenofovir and Efavirenz?

Hello Pozzie!

It's me again.  Thank you so much for your advise and had been reading your blog since I last e-mailed you. My Kudos to you! Don't know how you do it... I must say that you are truly an enlightened person.  Just to let you know that I got an answer from the nurse in SAGIP-PGH that the doctor can prescribe few more months meds than the meds that was already released to me but will still have to meet with the doctor in Manila when I arrive there from XXX.  So really crossing my fingers it wont be a problem.

Email 67: Nevirapine Rash

Hi, Sir!

First of all, I would like to thank you. Marami ako natututunan sa blog mo at higit sa lahat eh na-iinspire ako sa stories mo (I learn a lot from your blog and most of all I get inspired by your stories).

Kagaya mo eh isa din akong HIV positive. Nasa stage pa din ako ng acceptance pero kina-kaya ko naman ang laban. Kelangan ko lumaban para sa family ko, although hindi pa alam ng family ko ang situation ko.  (Like you I am also HIV Positive. Im still in the stage of acceptance but I am handling the fight. I need to fight for my family, although they still dont know about my situation).
