Im 27 years old diagnosed last november as HIV positive. Ask ko lang po kaz my tumutubo pong maliliit n warts sa pwetan ko. Maliliit n prang butil natatakot po ako kong anong tumutubo n un. cguru recently lang ano po gagawin ko? san po ba pde mgpa check up? may gamot ba yon sana mayulungan niyo ko. tnx.

Hi PP,

Would you know where is the best place where i can have my anal warts removed? I tried the topical cream oxyfend the one i saw being posted/recommended in the web. But it seems it is not working, i found out i'm positive when i discovered warts on my anal area, so i had myself tested, that was 4 months ago and the warts seems to spread and getting bigger. I read some article on your blog of people going to PGH to have it removed, however, would you know a private practitioner and is comfortable dealing with PLHIV, preferably with an acceptable rate.

Anal warts or genital warts are highly contagious sexually transmitted disease caused by by some for m of the human papillomavirus (HPV). It s spread through oral, genital or anal sex with an infected person.

Having anal warts doesn't mean that one has HIV. However, since the route of transmission is the same, one is asked to take the HIV test and all other STD tests as well.

No one can ever really know how they got HPV because anyone can carry it and it can be dormant for so long. For example, you might have had sex with two people and then got warts. With most STDs you would assume you got it from the latest partner, but with HPV it could have been the first one, you just did not have symptoms from it until now. Its really annoying to know really know how or when you got it, everyone feels that way but eventually you will accept it just does not really matter and feel better about it.

Hello there!

I'm a bit new to this site. But one thing I've noticed that this site was all about helping people like me who has lots of questions regarding my health. Well... to begin with, I am suffering from anal warts that formed in and around my anus. They're kinda annoying and itchy. I've been suffering with this illness for 6 months now and now they have become worst than I thought. They are in cluster and some are huge like the size of my kinky finger nails and there are some skin tags that are huge too. My God help me. I'm so worried about this thinking that this could lead to something else.  If you are concern and kind please let me know how much would cost me to remove this out of my body. I'm interested to come by your clinic and have these removed. Honestly I'm financially challenged. I don't have that much of money to spend to have this remove. But I'm hoping that my budget would cover charges of this surgery. Thanks. I really love your site. It gives me hope to still live.

I am a newly diagnosed PLHIV. I was shocked that I cannot move on when I first heard it but, because of this site and RITM Satellite Clinic in Malate where advise was given to me, I was able to move on and face the reality.  I am enrolled right now in RITM-ARG in Alabang and somehow happy to say that I am not yet under HAART because my CD4 count is 555.
