Philippine HIV and AIDS Registry: January 2017 Report

The HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines of the Epidemiology Bureau of the Department of Health just released its January Report today, March 7, 2017.
From the report, as seen below, there were 844 new cases reported in January 2017. 96% of the cases were male; median age was 27 (age: range 3years to 66 years); 31% belong to the age group from 15-24 years.
The highest reported cases belong to the National Capital Region, Region IVA and Region 3.
A total of 9 pregnant women were diagnosed.
From 1984 to present, there are 18,303 people living with HIV omg antiretroviral medicines. Based on the registry, there were 2,002 deaths since 1984.
