Lifeblood Program at PhilHealth

Posted by Pozziepinoy on 12:25 PM
Project Red Ribbon is now conducting its Lifeblood Program at the central office of PhilHealth. This  is the blood letting program of the Foundation, the beneficiaries of which are the indigent people living with HIV needing blood.

As part of the Care Program of Project Red Ribbon, the Lifeblood Program enables the Foundation in   providing blood to indigent PLHIV. Blood transfusion is sometimes needed as a result of the disease process or as a side effect to the antiretroviral therapy. Because there is insufficiency of blood, the Foundation partnered with Rizal Medical Center, Philippine Blood Center and the Philippine Red Cross to help us in getting donations for blood.

This is the second time that Philhealth has partnered with the Foundation, as part of their anniversary celebration and as a project of PhilHealth's MDG-OHAT Team.

Interested in helping our indigent PLHIV needing blood through our Lifeblood Program? Call us.
