Lifeblood in Action in Cavite

Posted by Pozziepinoy on 6:18 AM
Once again, Project Red Ribbon in partnership with the Rizal Medical Center and Saddleback has conducted its Lifeblood Program this time in a company in Silang, Cavite. This bloodletting program is being done by the Foundation to provide an ample pool of blood for needing indigent people living with HIV.

For years, the Foundation has been either looking for FREE blood from blood centers or are buying blood ranging from P1,200 to P1,700. However, because of the unavailability or the cost, the Lifeblood was established. Since October of 2016, we have used our supply of blood for the indigent PLHIV in San Lazaro Hospital, The Philippine General Hospital and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.

This is the second time that Project Red Ribbon has partnered with Saddleback Church South Manila under the leadership of Mr. Paul Babiera. Paul is a hardworking and passionate advocate of HIV and AIDS and his true leadership and unwavering support of the Foundation has led the way for programs for the PLHIV community in the church.
