What's Your Impact?

The cases of HIV  in the Philippines is still on the rise. With this in mind, what is your impact? How can you, your organization or your agency contribute impactful activities to combat the epidemic.

For years now, with the involvement of the Foundation in the National HIV Program, a few organizations still create activities with no impact. Some just count heads or participants during HIV talks, some train people with no direction or programs for sustainability, some create programs that are literally just a waste of money.

The cases of HIV in the Philippines is on the rise. People are dying here and yet, organizations and agencies don't have a fast approach to arresting the epidemic. The halting of programs due to issues and obstacles should not deter organizations and agencies in creating new and innovative activities that will create impact and arrest the epidemic. Programs that are being done by organizations and agencies that create less and slow impact should be evaluated or even shelved.

There are programs all over the world that work. Why can't we adopt them in the country? Why can't we all think outside the box and look at the fast outcome and not just count head and waste money?

The time of action is now. But if we always think, like it's business as usual, then nothing will; happen to any of our programs.
