Pagsanjan: Our LGU Partner from South Luzon

Our partnership just started in August 2016 when Project Red Ribbon Care Management Foundation, Inc. attended the Region IVA meeting and presented our programs. After our presentation, Dr. Orly Padilla, the Head of the HIV Program of Region IVA approached us and there our partnership on piloting a project on HIV Screening.

In October 2016, Project Red Ribbon was the primary guest during the Regional Multisectoral Meeting of Region IVA held in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. After our presentation, we finally agreed to chose Pagsanjan as our pilot site for HIV Screening.

Late October 2016, Project Red Ribbon brought our partner, Dr. Rossana A. Ditangco, the Head of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine-AIDS Research Group for the HIV Screening Training for both Barangay Health Workers and Peer Counselors of Pagsanjan, Laguna.

Immediately after the HIV Screening Training, the entire Pagsanjan Team came into play with the direction of the Municipal Health Office Dr. Lyra and Dr. Orly Padilla, together our partners from the Laguna Medical Center, Dr. Donna Catherine Ortiz. The target is to conduct HIV screening in the entire Pagsanjan.
