Rainbow Barracks, Our Partner from the North

In 2015, Project Red Ribbon started partnering with Rainbow Barracks and Metropolitan Community Church of Metro Baguio, in Baguio City. We saw their eagerness to help. We felt their compassionate hearts which aligns with the Project Red Ribbon's tagline "Spreading Compassion"
Tita Bootz Yabut, the owner of Rainbow Barracks together with her friends from MCCMB, namely Pastor Myke Sotero and Gregory Rugby had asked to for our partnership for their HIV and AIDS Advocacy Program.
In 2015, we started sending the group condoms and lubricants for distribution in the LGBTQIA bar located in Baguio City. These supplies are all coming from the Department of Health-National AIDS/STI Prevention and Control Program under the leadership of Dr. Jose Gerard Belimac.
Seeking for trainings, we partner RB and MCCMB with our very own partner, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine - AIDS Research Group, based Alabang, Muntinlupa. With the leadership of Dr. Rossana A. Ditangco, two trainings were provided, the Self-Empowerment Training and the Counselors Training.
In February 2016, Project Red Ribbon and RITM-ARG started training RB and MCCMB to conduct HIV Screening. After the training, the group has been providing HIV Screening in the bar, in different partner agencies and organizations. They have reached Ilocos, La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac and Quezon.
In July 2016, Project Red Ribbon came for a refresher course on HIV Screening and grave a training on HIV Education, Awareness, Testimonials and Screening (HEATS) and Support Group Talk (SGT). This is a project of the Foundation to train organizations to conduct their own HEATS and HEATS.
