Hi Pozzie,

Good evening.

I'll get into the point, I guess I am HIV POSITIVE. I read all the symptoms and I think I have it with me. My weight is decreasing and that scares me big time. Can you help me please... I am so afraid whom to talk to and ashamed at the same time. I came across your blog and was overwhelmed because its very informative and struck me straight.

Hope that you'll help me with this. I have a sore throat now :(. I haven't been to the doctor yet coz of the stigma :(.

Hi Bhong.

Thank you for your email.

You can't assume that you are positive based on the symptoms alone as HIv has non specific symptoms. What I am saying here is that even though you have symptoms that are identical to those with HIV or AIDS, HIV can't still be diagnosed unless you take the HIV Test. 

 I know you are scared but we can assist you. We have volunteer peer counsellors who can talk to you and assist you in taking the HIV Test. You can call Yomi: 0926-697-2240 or Marky: 0906-389-2402 if you want to talk or be assisted. They will listen to you and give you insights.
