HIV Anxiety Syndrome?

I have been assisting a handful of people who have had low risk encounters with the same sex or prostitutes and yet are exhibiting symptoms that usually linked with HIV. There is almost always signs of depressed immune system as they get sick all the time, some with even oral thrush and rashes but on the HIV testing, their results were all non reactive. Still, the anxiety lingers and these people still experience the HIV-like symptoms.

I have read the same conditions happening in China. Even the doctors there thought that the HIV-like disease is another strain of the virus spreading there. From reports, these HIV-like diseases can be transmitted through kissing, fondling, handjobs and oral sex and are usually happening with people with encounters with prostitutes or strangers.  However, BBC reports that these HIV-like diseases are just anxiety attacks and behavioral in nature.

 I am really bothered by this. Some people who have emailed me have given me the same symptoms. Three people who weekly send text messages experience the same thing. Is this an HIV anxiety syndrome that because of the HIV scare that people begin to manifest something psychological to physical symptoms?

 Because of this, I asked Dr. Ditangco, the head of RITM-ARG about it and she said that they have heard cases like these. She even mentioned this condition as "worried-well" and that these patients need to go to a psychologist or psychiatrist to deal with their anxiety about HIV. She even gave me a number of a psychiatrist who can handle these cases.

 I really thought that HIV is very easy to manage. However, it came to my realization that because of the scare of HIV, it has become a part of another and different condition, an HIV Anxiety Syndrome, which brings in the mind to play and to manifest actual physical symptoms of a dreaded disease.
