POZZIEPINOY’S RESPONSE
Hi j13rcb.
Thank you for your email. Thank you for reading the blog. I am glad that you are proactive in asking a question that will definitely improve your health.
I myself is a fitness addict. Before I got sick, I used to take a lot of supplements. However, when I got sick and when I got diagnosed with HIV, I just focused on eating the right kinds of food with the same equivalent nutrients. Always remember that our ARV's are already hard on our organ systems so why add some more supplements that might compromise their functions. However, if you think you need supplements, you can ask the recommendation or approval of your doctor first before taking any supplements to build up muscles.
Protein supplementation is usually recommended for body builders. In our case, we can protein load by eating more fish, chicken and egg whites. Like what I said, ask you doctor first before changing your diet plan. A balanced diet no matter is very important however your doctor can recommend a dietitian for you to have food choices if you really want to build up muscles.
I hope I was able to answer your concerns. Feel free to email me again if you have other questions.
Stay healthy,
Pozziepinoy
