Are You Ready For the Cure?

There are always news and breakthroughs every week about the possible HIV cure. The most recent was the baby who got cured from HIV. All over the world scientists and doctors are discovering something new about the possibility of having the cure. Most advocates are predicting that the cure is near and will come in just a few years!
Of course we should all be excited! However, the first question that we should all ask ourselves is are we ready for the cure in case it will come tomorrow or the following month or in the next few years?

 How can we prepare ourselves for the cure then?

 1. Are you getting yourself healthy now?
    a. Is your body in tip top condition?
    b. Are you free of infections?
    c. Are you taking your ARV's as prescribed?
    d. Are you getting regular check ups?

 2. In case the cure will cost us something, and our government initially can't afford it or control the price,
    a. Are you at least saving up for the cost of getting the cure?
    b. Are you willing to lobby on government policies and pricing about the cure?
 
We should always be hopeful. We should ALWAYS treat news and breakthroughs about the HIV cure with respect. Scientists and doctors are working hard for us, to give us the cure that we need. We need to acknowledge them and we should all be grateful. However, while waiting, we all should be ready for it.

 The question now is are you ready for the cure?
