Don't Be Scared!

HIV seems pretty scary, isn't it? However nowadays, because of the availability in the country of good HIV doctors, of good treatment processes, and the advancement of HIV medicines, HIV is now treated like having diabetes or hypertension.

DON'T BE SCARED!

If you think you had unprotected sex (not used a condom or any protection) or any other kind of exposure wherein there was an exchange of bodily fluids like blood, semen, pre-seminal fluid (pre-cum), vaginal fluid and breast milk, please go and take the HIV Test.

Don't be scared of the test! It is a life saver! Taking the test will help you to:

1. know your HIV status
2. prepare for treatment
3. help and protect others
4. prevent the spread of HIV

DON'T BE SCARED!

If your HIV test result turns out positive, don't be scared and focus on these things:

1. There are good and experienced HIV doctors in the country
2. HIV medicines are free.
3. There are HIV/AIDS Treatment hubs all over the Philippines
4. Some hubs offer free laboratory tests, some have very cheap lab tests.
5. The staff in the hubs are all friendly, very professional and non-judgmental.
6. There are lots of information about HIV now.

DON'T BE SCARED!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! There are a lot of people living with HIV (PLHIV) who are:

1. living their lives to the fullest
2. Still working and living their dreams
3. Having a productive life
4. Fit, looks good and healthy
5. willing to help you on your new journey

I know it is easier said than done. However, life is all about the challenges that we face. It is how we face it that makes the difference. Please don't be scared. Your attitude to make your life better now makes a big difference.
