Putting a Face on HIV & AIDS

I have always been asking my readers to share their own stories because it is the only way that we can share with everybody that HIV is real. HIV on the internet and in books depicts an image that is scary which in turn frightens the readers more. You story, especially how you are living with HIV and AIDS, how you are facing each day's battle, how you are overcoming obstacles of acceptance and treatment will help enlighten a lot of people, will give strength to those who are getting hopeless and frustrated, will give hope to those who feel down and troubled. Your story will be proof that living with HIV is not hard as long as there is faith in oneself, faith in all the doctors, faith in the ARV's and faith that one is never alone with his or her struggle with HIV.

 Your story will put a brighter face on HIV and AIDS here in the Philippines. You will replace an obscure and unattractive to a very positive image. You will show a face full of optimism and courage. You story will now depict an image of an empowered individual and living happily while living with HIV.

 All of you have been readers of our blog's PLHIV's Stories. You have read them while you were confined in the hospital or in the privacy of your own rooms. These stories gave you strength, courage, hope and positivism. Now, that you are well, and living with your life, it is time to give back and share your own. Your story  is will be important to those who just found out that they have HIV,  to those who don't know what to do, to those who think that it's the end of their lives and dreams.

 Let us put more faces on HIV and AIDS here in our country. Tell us your story. Share with us how you are living your life now as a PLHIV. Inspire us that even with HIV, life is worth living for.
