Email 401: CD4 Test in RITM-ARG

I hope someone can refer me to RITM ARG...marami kasi ako nababalitaan na kapag hindi galing dun yung confirmation magbabayad for cd4 count...I hope there someone out there who can clear this up,,,kasi schedule ako pumunta dun bukas,,,,kailangan kailangan ko na kasi mag pa assess kung ano na ba nangyayari sakin...yung confirmation ko nakuha ko na sa San Lazaro kasi ako nagpatest nun....

I hope someone can refer me to RITM-ARG. I have heard a lot of things that if the confirmatory result doesn't come from ARG, then one has to pay for the CD4 count. I hope there is someone out there who can clear this up. I was scheduled to go there tomorrow. I really need to be assessed as to what is happening to me. I got my confirmatory from San Lazaro where I got tested.

Thank you for your email. Thank you for sharing us your concern.

Let me clarify this. It doesn't matter where you take the HIV test. However, when you go to a specific hub and bring your confirmatory, there are some hubs that will let you pay for the baseline tests including the CD4 test. In RITM-ARG, however, everybody, irregardless of where you got your confirmatory result, will be given free CD4 count and free baseline tests as long as ARG becomes your home hub. This means that you have to follow the protocol, and all the things that they ask you to do. The only things that are not free there are the lab tests for specific opportunistic infections, in case the doctor suspects any.
